Roz Edwards, Senior Tax
Manager with CBIZ MHM, LLC, brings more than 30 years of tax
experience to clients. She focuses her practice on providing
advisory services to companies in the construction, manufacturing,
real estate, and franchise operations, along with individuals and
fiduciaries. Prior to joining CBIZ MHM, Roz was a tax manager at
Coopers & Lybrand. She received a B.S. in Accounting (1979) and a
Masters in Taxation (1989) from The University of Akron.
Her representative
experience includes representing businesses and individuals before
the IRS and other governmental agencies; diverse tax experience
concentrated in trust, partnership, corporate and individual
taxation; tax services to local McDonald’s franchisee with over 20
locations; provides advisory services to clients in areas such as
domestic production deduction, IRC 263 inventory capitalization,
accounting methods, depreciation methods and lives, like kind
exchanges, reorganizations, and partnership issues; and manages
overall tax planning, compliance, and research for clients.
Roz’s affiliations
include Ohio Society of CPAs, Akron Art Museum (Finance Committee),
Akron Tax Club, Cascade Capital Corporation (Trustee, Executive
Committee, Audit & Finance Committee Chair), Leadership Akron Alumni
Board (Treasurer, Alumni Class 23 graduate), CBIZ Women’s Advantage
Northeast Ohio Networking Circle, and American Cancer Society,
Summit County (former Board member).
Theresa Mullen joined
Bruner-Cox LLP in 2004. A graduate of Michigan State University,
she earned her BA degree in Accounting and a Master of Taxation
degree from The University of Akron. Theresa joined Bruner-Cox LLP
with 10 years of tax and accounting experience. Prior to that, she
worked for a “Big 4” firm, specializing in providing tax compliance
and state & local consulting services to a large, international
Fortune 500 company. She is a member of Bruner-Cox’s Manufacturing
and Wholesale-Distribution Services Group and the Construction and
Real Estate Services Group.
As State & Local Tax
Leader, Theresa works with clients regarding various state & local
tax issues, including acting as a liaison between clients and state
representatives and reviewing client’s eligibility for state tax
incentives to ensure they are capitalizing on all possible state tax
minimization strategies.
Theresa serves on the
Canton Regional Chamber Economic Development Committee, the State &
Local Tax Committee, the Ohio Prosperity Project, and the Brain Gain
Focus Group. She is Vice Chairman of the Jackson Belden Chamber
Legislative Committee, member of the Akron Chamber of Commerce
Government Committee, and the Ohio Chamber of Commerce Taxation
Committee. She also serves as president for the St. Michael’s
School Advisory Board, and is a Junior Achievement volunteer.
